best battery charger to replace in a 2004 azimuth 42' evolution

    I have a 2004 42' azimut. The Charles n80 amp charger os not working. Whats the best replacement charger?

    The same one that you have so you're not monkeying around with extending the wiring or moving it. The Victrons mentioned by Ralph are good. Newmars have gotten pretty good. Wiring location on the charger and the boat, determines a lot of times what brand I replace with, if I cannot get the same brand and model.

    Charles stopped making chargers. IF you can find a good used one, that may be easy.
    The Victron and Master Volt Chargers are great devices these days. Lil edge to the Victron chargers lately.

    My Charles went last year...
    I installed a Powermania unit ...I think that's the corny name. Anyway it's been working great . I use a 20amp unit to charge my only two 8d batteries.

    Make sure it's not the fuse inside the Charles that went bad , that may be the only problem with it . A bad fuse.
