I am need of assistance. I am wanting to put a 1982 42 Bertram S/F into commercial operation up here in Canada. To complete the process I need to submit a set of line drawings(hydrostatic etc.) to Transport Canada. Up to this point all my attempts to locate a set have failed. If anyone knows how I could obtain a set I would be more than grateful. Thanks in advance Dave
I would give Bertram a call and ask for their engineering department. They may have the drawings available.
Depending on who your inspector is, you may have to do a stability report along with the book, will require an Architect, also depending on the insulation behind walls etc, it may have to be all removed. You will need an isolation transformer and of course a meggar test, be prepared for major headaches and lots of B.S. as you are over the 15 ton limit , different regs apply.
Thanks for the help. I understand that I have a lot of hoops to jump through and they make it unfeasable to start a new commercial venture , attitude dependent. I have contacted Bertram but went through the service Dept. and only got a floor plan off a brochure. Will try again. Again Thanks in advance. Dave
I had looked at a Bertram down there and requested some lines plans, but, a brochure copy is all I got. Failing that, you are into big bucks.
