I was in Belfast Maine last week.

I went down to the waterfront and noticed that there is now a 150 ton travel lift at Front Street Marina. (it appears brand new)

Also what looks like some good indoor storage possibilities....

Yes .. Belfast is very excited about the new Front Street Shipyard .. They have a 5 story building which I believe is all about having indoor space for them to work on boats. They also have many summertime rental slips.

The town of Belfast, Maine also has a waterfront revitalization plan underway including a waterfront walking path etc. It is already a gem of a little town and an excellent stop for boats big and small. Many choices of restaurants, shopping, old fashioned movie theatre etc.

The owners behind the new Front Street Shipyard have experience.
One also owns a large yacht yard in Rockland ME and the other is owner of Brooklyn Yacht Yard on the Eggemoggin Reach in Maine.

Just south of wonderful Belfast ME are the beautiful harbors of Rockport, Rockland and Camden ME. Camden is where Wayfarer Marine is located. An excellent yacht yard I will continue to use.

Yes, I agree that part of Maine is very nice.

It will be interesting to see how this yard impacts Belfast's waterfront.
