    Hello all
    I'm converting the original Bertram 58MY 120vac x 50amp service to a 240vac x 50amp service. Thus making two 240vac x 50amp service inlets and panels.
I have already converted the service inlets (port & stb) to 240vac and run new cables to the panels. Have updated the 120vac transfer switches and breakers to handle the red wire input.

Now we just need one more original Beede 60 amp display with pick up coil and one more original Beede 260vac volt meter.
Any upgrades out there with these left over parts?

Were also still looking for a replacement Modern Maid stove top that was used on these Ole Bertram's, Hatteras's and more fine ole ships.

    Thx, Ralph

Were a fan of e-bay. No Joy there, yet.

Thank you for thinking of me.

The new Beede corp is into round auto gages like Faria.
There are companies supporting what is left of the old big Beede analog gages. I have some notes into them also.

I want to stay with those BIG ole original analog gage's.

I still have some engineering to do in the back of the box. After I figure it all out, a company here in Jax will make new panels with correct labeling.

The box is of a strange dimension and new Paneltronics or the like panels will not fit the way I would want.

    regarding the stove,

I just put one of those electric convection cook tops in the house.

I cant believe how fast it heats and cools down, and uber easy to clean.
I think it boils water faster than a gas stove.

When it is time to replace the stove in the boat, I think I will put in one of those convection tops.

Found them. The sizes are not quite there. Need to match the already installed gages.

    Thx for your thoughts.

    Hi,

You could always do a bit more of an update and replace them all so they match.

Yes I have considered it. Seems all of the new gages are a bit smaller. When I get the new panels cut, I may even then consider big digital displays.
For now, I'd still like to think somebody has already been here on their Hat or Bert but did not throw the old stuff away.

    Thx,

I think I saw the stove you're looking for at Sailor Man in Ft. Lauderdale in good condition. You might want to give them a call, they might have the meters laying around as well.

OK, I get i now. I was looking at the width and style, from your picture with the measuring tape. I ignored that the Beede's are taller than the NewMars... did you check the cut out dimensions to see if it is really an issue?

Just occured to me. Have you tried calling Lauderdale Speedometer and compass? They don't have them in their catalog, but they know old boats and might be able to get you pointed in the right direction. Good people.

Been a while. Forgot about them. I'll ring them tomorrow.
    Thx.

I did get a response from my inquiry to the Beede support guys. They have pointed me to another support group to call. It does sound positive. Another call tomorrow.
