Bare Alustar hull

    These images are proof why you shouldn't paint Alustar, but sadly, you must. Hull number 1085 ready for build-off.

    It would look pretty wild if they just sprayed a few layers of clear-coat on it. ;)

    Clear Coat would look great on a polished hull, although I don't see myself grinding, sanding and polishing the hull for, let's say, the next 12 months.

    After the finishing of the hull construction, the hull was primered for delivery to the yard. She will not be painted white so don't worry if you don't like the colour.

    Do you need to paint Alustar or can you leave it bare like other aluminum alloys? I know of several aluminum boats that were never painted making them maintenance free. Well except for the bottom paint.
