Perhaps a bit better coverage. Reports varied but seems there was either one or two "explosions" on board. The 67 year old man was "working" on the boat, whatever that means. He did escape by leaping to the dock and was taken to the hospital. Sunk boat, fuel spill. Other boats near that boat apparently moved very quickly. Fire department on scene within 4 minutes from time of call.

Fire station 49 is literally a water balloons throw from where this happened so 4 minutes would be a reasonable response time for Ft Lauderdale Fire Departments new 1.5 million 36ft. toy. Watching the video it certainly didn't look like the fire monitor's were producing 4,000 gpm as advertised to knock the flames down as quickly as one would think.

We cruised past yesterday afternoon. They were working on re-floating the wreck which was on it's side. It's amazing that no other boats were involved or damaged. Lots of quick action!
