I am having a hard time fixing the steering system on the boat… The last company that worked on it has not returned and new engineer asked for specific info I dońt have sooo We are now in the process of finding a Manual for the steering system. I dońt have enough information to locate one online. I hope I can find some help here.

    Got any photos?
A label where at least the brand name is visible would help.
They might have fitted either a Marsili or a BCS/Twin Disc steering system, if I should guess.
    But there are others.

Sorry, but those hydraulic bits don't remind me of any steering system I'm familiar with.
Are you sure that there aren't any labels somewhere?
Usually on the motor on the left, or on the cylinder barely visible at the bottom of the photo?

    Your in N Miami Beach?
Skippy J may know a Mut guy in the area.
I can feel he has been busy lately. A PM may be needed.

BTW, what problems are you having? Before / after the last tech was onboard?

I’m in Aventura Williams Island. They disconnected hoses and caps..removed both hydraulic cylinders. Opened, cleaned and made a pressure test with the actuator valve. After that it was working. Some issues happened when they tried to change navigation system from Raymarine to Garmin and apparently that´s when the steering was affected. Some complaint triued to repair and apparently changed the hoses and tried to adapt the system but failed to do so. We called the most recent company who had worked on it previously and they did the rewiring…the cylinder removal and testing again. Removed the powerpack and took it to the shop for testing and finally returned it . It is not installed and he has not come back.

Yea, so North Miami. Not in the Med or left coast.
I'm reading, an new AP gateway was installed to the ships fancy electric / hydraulic rudder control pump. Now nothing is working.
Your the mate? Captain? Owner? Friend of a friend? Ships engineer????
I'm hoping you have not paid anybody yet? Recalled the CC charge?

I really hate to say this,,,, Have you called Marine Max yet?
Other than a lone tech that may be familiar with Muts, MM is supposed to be able to support Muts. The North American sales representatives (or so).

I recall a MM shop in Pompano. Maybe another jobber closer.

I called Marine Max and they referred me to Marine Assistance which has too much work load and don’t know how soon they can make it our here.
I am working with the owner to manage this and other works that where getting done on the boat. This issue was done before I got here unfortunately.
