Pretty much what the headline asks, any one with input? I'm looking at one that claims 4,000 watts with a 22 MPH wind.

Sounds nice to have, but when you´re aboard you don´t even want them on a boat near you... :D
To get an idea what I´m talking about take your vaccum cleaner, switch it on at low power and put it in the next room with the doors open. That compares to the noise level of a rather quiet wind generator with a useable bit of wind outside.
Even if you´re really stubborn about it I´d guess you certainly don´t want to listen to it for hours, let alone days... ;)

But if you´re out a lot in rather remote areas you might even think about living with it rather than running the diesel powered radaddel machine.

Bern is right, they can be noisy at 10 knots but really noisy at 22.

Solar and batteries have made some huge improvements, don't see as many turbines these days.
