Not a scam, my wife and I have viewed the vessel in person. I'm no expert and don't claim to be one, but IMHO the vessel would need beucoup work done to it to bring it back to it's former glory. However it is by now means too far gone to do that. Certianly more of a project than we're willing/able to take on at this time though.

We both feel that the vessel should really be gutted down to the bare hull and done over again to do it "right". Much of the orignal interior wood could be saved, but there is also a considerable amount that is only good for patterns. It's really too bad that the windows and roof were allowed to leak unchecked as long as they apparently were. :(

Still looking for the right cruiser for us. It needs to be in the sub-$35K range and it canNOT have any spark plugs. I am allergic. Anyone have any suggestions?

Heck - itz even got diesels; and at the current bid pf $10K looks to represent one of the more outstanding boating values in America.:p

Nope, that the same one Redman. Don't get me wrong, it's not in terrible condition by any means, it's just, well...not great either. I just know that for the Mrs and I it would be getting in wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy over our heads. :(

    Sold!

It sold for $12,100. Any way you figure it, that is a lot of boat for the money. I just can't imagine cruising all day with those 2 detroit growlers screaming away from under the rear deck.

    Have a nice day

    Say it ain't so!!!!

This is a quote from the ebay relisted Roamer.

"Q: i thought this was already sold Jul-20-07
A: I hate to do this but I have decided to part this out due to lack of honest bidders, Large amount of tire kickers and deadbeat buyers. The engines are listed seperatly and will end 8 hours before the boat. If they sell I will cut her up. "

    Jeepers creepers.

What a tragic ending!!! Makes me sad I took the time to read this thread. She appears to have been a beautiful old boat - just needed some TLC....
