Another Record Month at YF - 932,000 visitors in August!!!

    I honestly thought April was a fluke, but last month we blasted past that record. A whopping 669,062 visitors for the month of May! In June, a record 831,798 unique IP addresses! Then July... 878,902 visitors! And now... August of 2013... 931,798 visitors!!!

    UPDATE: August 2013 - 932,000 visitors!

    This growth is NOT based on any breaking news, special reviews or bottom seeking boats. It looks like the ground swell you guys have been building over the years is cresting. Knowledge trumps fluff! :)

    Due to the number of visitors online yesterday - over 43,000 - I just checked YF's Control Panel to see the tally on our traffic for the entire day. Unfortunately, the server crashed during peak load, so the numbers aren't accurate. Still, it was BY FAR the most number of visitors we've ever recorded in one day... 108,099 visitors!!! Also had a record 2.8 million hits yesterday. :)

    Just an update...

    While still in disbelief of last month's record traffic of 669,000 visitors, we're on track for the single largest gain in Unique IP's we've ever recorded at YachtForums. At our current pace, we will be around 810,000 visitors for the month of June...!!!

    I know stats aren't very interesting to most people, but numbers tell a story. Stats aren't just a measure of popularity, they are a valuation of a resource. Over the past 10 years our traffic has steadily risen to very respectful numbers, averaging 350,000 to 450,000 visitors a month, but 2013 has truly been a break-out year.

    In July 2013, we recorded 878,902 visitors!!!

    June visitors: 831,798
    July visitors: 878,902
    Aug visitors: 931,798

    In May, we peaked at a record 51,781,539 hits!
    In August, we recorded 13,498,463 page views!
