Place: Perdido Pass, AL. Wrong side of the jetty. Time: After the hired capt consumed enough to blow a .19 Result: a brand new $4M Weaver custom sporty on the bottom.
A similar late model 64 Weaver has an ask of $2.8M, so one would assume consumption of a 30-year old single malt as opposed to a few cans of Old Frothingslosh.
"Blow a .19" referrs to his blood/alcohol level. I think a .08 is legally drunk (correct me if I'm wrong, it might be less)
Thanks CT Dave. In the UK the maximum permitted alcohol level for driving is 35 mgs in a sample of breath. A few months ago a guy turned his car over in the lane outside my house and he registered 95 mgs in his breath test. I guess that equates to a similar state of drunkeness as this captain?
I can only imagine the first words the owner said to the drunk (Capt). What a waste looking at it from here.I doubt if any insurance company will look into it . Francois
