We're making a brief stop in St. Maarten next month.

Can anybody recommend locations to anchor offshore of St. Maarten (with at least 20 ft. of water)?

So December?? I'll be there Dec 8-22....
All the big boys anchor in either Simpson Bay on the Dutch side near the airport or Marigot on the French side.

Thanks. I also got a tip on Great Bay, where the cruise terminal is located. My map shows some anchoring restrictions for Simpson bay.

We should be on our way again by december 2. :)

    Thanks

Just checked your website, great project - I wish you luck. You are right to select Great Bay. Both Simpson Bay (aka Rolly Bay) & Marigot can be uncomfortable at anchor. Just make sure you go as deep into the bay as you can & favour the East side near the cruise ship terminal, but outside the yellow special marks. The bottom is sand. You can take fuel on the commercial dock in Phillipsburg too.
