Lars you promised test results for that 25' you sold at the Stockholm boat show. The one with the new Steyr diesel and Bravo 3 drive.

    So give it up! :)

Found this when I went back 10 pages or so. I'd like to know his top speed with that engine and drive. The twin props will slow him down a bit but maybe he's got it to 50+.

YachtNews have you had to deal with Hurricane Hannah?

No sir! I'm down here in sunny and HOT Barbados. Believe me those systems that are to the North are altering the wind flow pattern to the Southern Caribbean and it has been hotter than usual. Gustav, now Hanna, Ike is being forcasted to travel a similar path as Hanna. So we have been just trying to beat the heat down here. 34 degrees Celcius if you all wanted to know.

Hi, I forgot this as it never happened. All clients has had Volvo Penta D3/190 fitted in the 25' from that time on. (Tops 41 knots).

This year we have only delivered 29-footers with VP D4/300 (43 knots) and 40-footers with twin D6/370 (47 knots).

Interesting is that the speed improved just about one knot from the old D6/350 and we have now fitted one 40' with twin Mercruisers of 350 hp, a much lighter engine, but speed dropped to 41-42 knots.

This week we got the first installation of twin D4/300 in the 40' and it seems to go 41 knots, maybe more, but fuel economy was not better than with D6/370:s.

This is the summary of our installations to date...:)

Even with total of 40hp less for the gas motors you should not have lost that much speed. Maybe the outdrive gear ratios are to blame?

Looks like the D4 is not enough motor for the 40, especially as fuel mileage has not improved.

Can you show pics please, especially the 40?
