When does it become new? Have upgraded my 35 ft convertable with new engines & running gear (2 yrs), new interior (3 yrs), exterior restoration (now), recent electronics! Should splash within the next 2 weeks. Looks & feels like new!
I don't think that no matter what you do can ever make a boat new again once it has left the factory. However restored would be the proper terminology. Sounds like you have a great boat to use for the season and many more!
It can never be new again. It’s all about the dates ie:- 2001 [original launch - or NEW] 2005 [part refit] 2009 [major refit] etc…
Almost New The exterior restoration has been completed by Viking. They exceeded my expectations. The boat really does look new!
Lets see some pictures. I have looked long and hard and haven't seen any other 35 footers that can compare with a 30+ year old Viking. Compare original construction, service factors, ease of access to frequently serviced machinery, seakeeping, layout, durability, quality and fishing ability, etc. I'll put that old Viking up against about any anything else in the class. I think that what you have there is a quality boat that is better than new. It is better than NEW!!! Rob
