Anyone know of any pre-cleaning shortcuts for an Alfa Laval F.O. centrifuge? It would make cleaning alot easier if it could be flushed out prior to opening. I can dump the output to the waste oil tank so there are no worries of contamination.

if it is the larger purifiers with steel stacks and youve got the room ultrasonic baths and plate cleaning fluid from unitor, but if its those little ones no joy still taken to pieces, just replace them every year

    Hi,

    1. Depends on. Unitor DC is ok, but Drew DC better !
(Only my opinion, based on experience). Both are smelly.
Again, depends on, what kind of residues preveal ?
Carbon / scale deposits or sludge ? In some cases, CR is also suitable. Try everything.
    2. Alfa Laval introduced an integrated system with aux. pump, etc. You will need special fluid for that, not agressive to Alu, Cu, Bronze etc. Unable to judge about efficiency.

    Rgds,
