Finished installing new AIS antenna and then checked marine traffic and it shows position not updated for 3 days. Someone recommended vessel finder and it's data was showing my boat and only an hour since updating. Not sure why but worth sharing.

I gave up on fleet monitor. Vessel Finder has it's days (poor). For tracking less than 6 (5?) boats free, I give the nod to Marine traffic for free service. I only track 4 of our customers.

I ve been using the boat beacon app on my phone and iPad. Usually almost no delay when I occasionally check data like soeed and heading of larger ships

Can also be used to broadcast although obviously your data is only visible on line not on AIS receivers but nice for others who want to follow you
