Some great photos. I don't understand the music choices some people make for powerpoints or videos. Nothing beats the sounds that some of these motors make at full song.

Farewell Airshow for the F-4 in Germany Today was the big Farewell Airshow and flyout of the last F-4 Jets of the German Airforce. The Fighter Wing 71 "Richthofen" (Red Baron) in Northern Germany will be equipped with Eurofighters. Only very few F-4 will survive by going to a museum. The rest will go to the scrapyard. It was the very last flight of this special painted one. It will turn into a monument at the main gate of this airbase. The F-4 was on duty on this airbase for 40 years. We pilots called it the "Air Defence Diesel" (because of the smoke trail). I saw a few pilots (including myself) holding their tears. Very sad, but thats the way it goes.
