    I have 2 CAT C30's in my Hatteras 80 with 2200 hrs
My aftercoolers need to be cleaned and probably changed. I was told that there is a CAT upgrade to a new aftercooler model and the expense could be up to 15,000$ per engine.
Can anyone tell me more about this?

Yes, the aftercooler design was changed a number of years ago and the old style aren't available. The newer style requires several other parts to retrofit into the older style housing such as the housing cover plate. I was quoted around the same number +/-. I generally use N+G engineering for CAT work. If they're over 6 years old, replace them.
