Has anyone replaced this pump with more modern submersible? Newer ones seem faster, cheaper and easier to replace. Thots?
The Rule shower sump boxes work well and have easy to find replaceable pump and float switch in them. They're a fairly easy install.
I agree with Capt J. You just need to clean them occasionally, since the stuff you shower off goes in there.
The rules come with a s/s strainer that is inside of the pump base, you need to clean that often, or just take the thing out.
12 or 24? I need to replace unit in the aft of a 396. It's a couple of hundred miles away and I didn't know I'd have to choose between the Rule 98A and the Rule 98A-24. I saw that the pump was 800gph, but I think both of these models are the same in that regard. Anyone know what a 396 would use?
One is a 12 volt and the other is 24 volts. You need to verify your voltage. I would think a 39' would use a 12 volt if I had to guess. The 98a-24 is the 24 volt model.
