Admiral starts construction on 52-meter and 55-meter superyachts​

Italian yacht manufacturer Admiral has started construction on two new superyachts with lengths of 52 and 55-meters respectively. Keel laying and the traditional ceremonies associated with them signalled the start of construction at the yard in Marina di Carrara. The two yachts are actually part of Admiral's new E Motion displacement series of superyachts with design by Dobroserdov Design along with Admiral's in-house design department, Centro Stile.

Even though the two yachts are from the E Motion series, they are actually quite different from each other in styling and layout. One glaring difference is at the bow. The 55-meter has the straighter but more conventional-looking bow while the 52-meter has a reverse type bow. The Admiral E Motion 55-meter superyacht is going to weigh in with a Gross Tonnage of 850 GRT and is expected to deliver a maximum speed of 17-knots.

The other yacht, at 52-meters comes in alot less on the GT scale by default. The Admiral E Motion 52 features a gross tonnage of 499 GRT and thanks to the 4 MAN engines configuration and the hybrid system, is able to deliver a maximum speed of 25-knots. The event was attended by the two owners, together with their families and friends, as well as several political and administrative authorities from the local territory. The delivery time for both yachts has been set for the Summer of 2016.
