Carl, you might be able to help but if anyone else has ideas, let me know.
A few yrs back, I sold a 38 Cigarette to a really nice couple from MI.
They are going to be going (with the boat) to FL for the Miami show.
He is interested in staying in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area & is looking for a spot to keep the boat & a place to stay. He & his wife are on a fairly strict budget & "can't afford a $300 per night hotel". They would consider staying on the boat if there were facilities.
I thought of Bahia Mar & Pier 66 but I think they will be a little steep for them.
Any ideas of a reasonable marina/motel deal?
    Thanks!
    Dave

    There's an oxymoron! :D

Ft. Lauderdale would be quite a hike for the Miami show (traffic!), but one place that comes to mind, that essentially puts you at the Bahia Mar docks, without the high price is...

BAHIA CABANA BEACH RESORT & MARINA
    Phone: 954.524.1555

A hotel & dock in Miami would prove much more enjoyable for him, i.e. go-fast waters (it's idle speed all over Ft. Lauderdale during season), but I'm honestly not up to speed on accomodations in the city of sun & sin.

Hopefully one of our members can be more helpful on this subject... :)

We are going to be at the Miami show and found rooms at the Radison Deveaux on Collins Ave for just over $100 per night... Good luck.... Might try hoteldiscounts.com tI use them alot and get some pretty good prices especially in SE Florida...

    lodgings in Ft. Lauderdale

    Hi CT DAVE,
I just posted in the general discussion section the topic
of inexpensive lodging in Ft. Lauderdale.
I know it is too late for that couple, but
for future use, it may help someone else.
I hope more people will post other places
    in other cities :)
