New thread for the newly launched "Elandess" for the same owner of the last boat with the same name from this same yard it would appear. I believe this owner's previous yacht is now called "Elysian" built in 2009. The semi underwater 'nemo' room/beach club area should be a hit on this 2018 build. Design is by Harrison Eidsgaard inside and out.

It looks like the underwater Nemo room might be on both sides of the yacht. I also don’t really see any sort of fold down transom. I wonder how there will be water access.

It only appears to be underwater on the starboard side.

In the videos available on YouTube, there are a few shots with a reasonably good sized water-tight door open on the starboard side of the transom. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be any other openings and certainly no foldown transom, as you point out.

It actually looks like there is an opening at the stern, just a lot smaller one than what one normally sees as per DrDuus latest photo of the stern.

Closer up of the new "Elandess" along with "Ilona"...

She is a quite good looking boat.

A little OFF topic but I wonder how the crew on Ilona is going to handle the lines and anchor operations. She doesnt seem to have got a fold down plattform or hatch like on comparable yachts with enclosed foredeck.

Ilona's foredeck is not completely enclosed. That open hatch on the video only covers a part of the foredeck, and I think there's a lot of crates and other supplies cluttering the open space.

The Nemo lounge is particularly beautiful. I think I would prefer this one vs the one on "Savannah".

I don’t know why I never realized this but she has a second one on the other side for her gym. I’m hoping that when the magazine feature is released, they will show this as it certainly will be impressive.

Are there storm covers or any exterior protection for those windows?

I don’t believe so. It’s most likely in a water tight section with that area being able to be 100% flooded without the boat going down. I believe that’s how they did it on Savanah.

Sends shivers down my back reading that.
They probably can pressurize the room also.

Yes that lounge or the general area around the lounge would have to watertight because you know at sea anything can happen. With glass technology the place it is now and will get better in the future it will allow for more and more outlandish design features. 15 years ago would you have seen Nemo lounges with this much glass on yachts? It now allows for glass bottomed and edged pools etc.
