    Welcome Luhrs owners!

We set up a Luhrs forum by request of YF member Buckshot. We haven't had many Luhrs discussions, which is sort of surprising after 18 years! We've moved a few previous discussions into this dedicated forum for Luhrs owners.

With the collective knowledge of hundreds of sportfish owners on YF, we hope Luhrs owners find YF an informative and helpful place. After all, we use many of the same components and equipment, no matter the vessel.

    Gents,

I'd like to place a link to the Luhrs forum on the alphabetical list of builders on the front page of YF. In order to do this, I need a few photographs and a few paragraphs documenting the history of the brand. Clearly you guys have a great deal of knowledge on Luhrs. Maybe you could put some materials together? With this info, I can properly index the forum which should result in more participation.

Here's an example of the kind of info we need and what the Luhrs page could look like...

    Thanks!

Thank you first time posting . I have had four luhrs models in the last 15 years I get bored fast and my hobby is fixing them and running the boats for a few year then sell, had 97 32 open with gas , had 98 36 open with cats 3126, had 2002 36 convertible with yanmar 6cxm-gte 465 hp , and last that I have now 92 38/40 open with Detroit 6-71ti jt engines. I found that the luhrs forum was very informational and was upset to see all that data gone.hope that we all can help each other in this new forum.
I hate that people that never had the boat bashing the luhrs brand I think there hulls are made above average and the ride is better then some of the big name boat and will run with all of them if not better . There fit and trim is average and the wiring I have to say is an mess but if you have no bugs your golden .
I ve owed luhrs and had the extra money to buy other hi end boats and I just come back to the luhrs there look there ride and price.

Awesome first post Mark! Not too familiar with how our 40 rides yet, but have always loved the lines and looks of the luhrs.

    Hello,

Iā€™m not sure if this is the appropriate place/forum for a request but I am in the market for a 32ā€™ - 36ā€™ luhrs open. Preferably 1995 or newer! If anyone knows of any current listings in the sub $95,000 range please let me know!

    Hello,

I am a new member to the Luhrs Forum and I do not agree that Luhrs boats are not well made. I recently purchases and 89 Luhrs 34C Tournament. The boats lines are impressive, the interior space is well utilized. I run this boat in Buzzards Bay and it is smooth tracking and takes waves elegantly. I enjoy tinkering with vintage items and prefer to install or replace parts with OEM quality or to original specifications. That has been a challenge with Luhrs and I hope this forum helps.
I have opened and looked into every hole I can find and I offer my experience to the forum and to enjoy an healthy exchange of information.

SmartSelect_20200809-220122.jpg I am a new member with a 2002 Luhrs 40 Express with Cummins 480CE motors. We've made 7 trips so far offshore chasing pelagics at distances of 50 - 82 miles from port. We can't be happier with the ride and performance so far.
