Evening all, New Viking owner and I have 2 questions and would appreciate some sage advice: Our 1989 45 convertible factory swim platform ladder is bent and cracked from years of use. Looking to replace it with something simple and factory. Any Ideas? How does the factory artwork (above dinette) come off the bulkhead? I want to update the picture but not the frame. Anyone do this without destroying the frame? Thanks!
Probably going have to find a quality fab guy for the ladder. As the picture, it's a wooden frame, look for plugs in the frame, remove them , underneath are screws.
^ What Mark said, look for the plugs and you have to dig them, or drill them out, to access the screw heads.
Thanks guys! I will experiment with the picture in the head before I attempt the one in the salon and make a mess. The search for a fab shop begins.
I agree they are but stuff like ladders and rails were custom made to each boat as built. So while lots of stuff , like rub rail is still available, rail would not .
