Word is that a yellow hulled 65 SF was stolen from a marina in North Palm Beach yesterday (7/14/10) around dawn. Witnesses saw the vessel south bound in the ICW around 7am, apparently headed for Lake Worth Inlet. Any info from others?

Shouldn't be too hard to find. Sure it wasn't a repo? That's happening a lot these days.

I would have to take a guess that the boat was probably headed for National Liquidaters or one of the usual repo companies.

    65 Viking Recovered in Bahamas

Latest news is that the vessel's owner passed away last week and the thieves apparently knew it. The boat cleared customs at Chub and continued on to the Exumas where it was located. The perpetrators have not been caught.

Odd that they even would bother to clear. Just run up the courtesy flag, fuel and move on.

Not to mention that a yellow hull is going to stand out like a sore thumb.

I'd be curious to know how one clears customs without divulging one's identity. Surely the thieves couldn't have been clever enough to get a boat all the way to Bahamas without sinking it but dumb enough to show a passport to a customs/immigration official?
