Does anyone know what the interior cabinets and finish on a 1988 46 Post is? It appears to be be Teak plywood with a yellowish stain. Im trying to match and blend some repairs. so far no answer from Post Yachts. Regards
Its probably a combination of teak and teak veneer over plywood. It will be very difficult to match existing finish due to the color change that teak experiences over time. New teak will be much darker. You may have to go with a wood with similar grain in a lighter color, then do some custom stain blending to get it close. Its been my experience that Seafarer in Ft Lauderdale stocks many veneers. If you can pay them a visit or send them a sample, they can be very helpful in suggesting what may work. Veneer is easy to ship as it rolls up and goes in a tube. Good luck with your project.
