44 Viking Aft Cabin Tanks

    There are Two black tanks between the 2 motors that you stand on when your doing service work . What are they ? they have a plastic cap with a chain but I have no idea what they are for or what's in them .

    I own same boat, that's not a factory add, can you send a picture?
    There's only the aux/Gen tank center forward of the engines in that area.

    The only things between my engines are two 8D starting batteries. Are you sure they’re not battery boxes?

    ill have to take a photo next time I'm down at the boat . they are directly between the two motors and you stand on them if doing any service work about 3 foot long id guess . My Battery box is a little further back towards the bulkhead .

    I really think you're looking at the two 8D battery boxes that were parked down there. But send us a picture to be sure.

    Well open the cap and see what in there. Use a stick of near empty. The smell alone should give you a clue.
