I'm trying to put a quick letter together tonight. Is there an average cost to rebuild a pair of 2001, 1400hp, 3412Es? They are running fine now, over 3500 hours, no history . My customer looking to purchase with rebuild in the near future.
In frame, I was thinking $75K each,,,

Let me ad 3225 hours and no service history. Were working on getting service records.
Just need to put a number or two down for a rebuild of a running 3412E.

    Thx,
    rc

Ask your local CAT guys for an in frame rebuild kit for one. I know of an engine half that size that was recently rebuilt in West Palm for USD 60k

Well, last night my time, the local Cat guy should have been asleep, when I was trying to get the note out.

I've already sent my note, no more responses required here.

I've seen it done as cheap as $60k with very good access and not needing a whole lot of extra's. I would say $75k is the norm. 3412's should go a minimum of 6,000 hours and are rated by CAT for 10,000 hours or X amount of fuel.
