2010 Miami Boat Show

Planning on attending.
Would welcome a cocktail hour with other YachtForum'ers.

Will be along Collins on Thursday, looking for a reason NOT to get stuck in traffic after the show. I'll buy beers if anyone wants to meet at the Fontainebleau after 6:00 PM. Nothin' fancy, just 2-3 worn-out dockwalkers from YF takin' the load off. We'll have YF shirts on, which is like wearing a target these days.

I'll be on the docks as well. I'm sure we'll find each other. We can also plan on "hydration" break at a specifc time. I'll leave that one up to you. If not, I'll see you at 6:00.

Mmmmmm cold snacks. don't forget to bring the shirts, would like to have one. yes I will buy it. looking forward on having a cocktail with ya'll. good luck to all who are working the show and hope it is very profitable for all.

I heard that they've eliminated the floating docks at the marriott display, any truth to that? It seems like every year the collins show eats away at the "other" show...

Actually last year I know a few manufacturers that jumped ship to the Omni location away from the collins show, because it was considerably cheaper then the Collins show. Last year the Collins show and the other one was a lot smaller due to less boats being there. We'll see what this year brings. I know some manufacturers will not be attending at all from what I've heard.

Hi all,
Just completed the first day at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage show along Collins Ave. Here are some photos from the day. Sorry but too tired to add captions at this time. Met with Carl for drinks (anyone else try to hook up at 6:00 PM?) and some cruising the docks. Show along Collins void of a few buildrs and vendors and traffic was a bit low today. Let's see how the rest of the weekend works out.

Last set. Off to the show again on Sunday for my final day. The show runs to 6:00 PM on Monday, Feb 15, so if you're in the area on the holiday, stop by and see some of your favorite yachts.
