We are considering a 48 or 52 with vintage year above and Can not find much information about performance fuel burn etc. any thoughts on 48 with 860 mans vs 52 with 1300 manns? Never owed manns and seems that lots of opinions good and bad until they go common rail

860 mans are going to burn about 60 gph at cruise. I cannot remember what the 1300's burn. It was either 100gph or 120gph at cruise, but again I cannot remember.

The 52 is just the right size to slide between waves is what one long time 52 capt told me. I've never heard a bad word about the 52 as well, I personally thought they have a very good ride and would go with it over the 48 any day.

    Fuel burn

Thanks for input. Seems that 52 burns much more fuel for picking up 4 feet. Both models seem to be very popular

You might only pick up 4' in length, but you also pick up width and heighth and volume. 4' of length is a lot of additional space when talking about a boat

My 2003 MAN 1300's burn 66 at 1750 which is my low cruise. 29-30 knots at that speed.

Any idea on fuel burn for the 860 manns? How about any feedback on longevity or reliability on the 860's vs the 1300's ??
