Has anyone ever seen this in person? Supposedly it was stoppped running drugs across the english channel.
Loren S. posted a pic of this somewhere on YF a while back. Still, it's bizarre to see such an ill-conceived idea. Running drugs in a high profile platform falls pretty low on the cerebral evolution scale... not to mention the expected attrition rate of getting 8 motors to work harmoniously. Proof of the adage... "this is your brain on drugs".
Yep. Noticed that. Brings to mind the marine proverb... "If you wanna go fast, buy a black motor. If you wanna get home, buy another color". Still, there is NO bullet-proof, never-fail, outboard. Attrition happens. Increase the number of motors and you increase the odds.
