    Hopefully not a repost , It happend in 09 maybe some of you have seen this footage of the Norwegian flagged Yacht that sank in the North Sea ...the 2 crew were rescued by the shetland coastguard ..


    Going by the footage the Yacht imo wasn't built for sailing in those conditions more of a Inshore vessel

    Sad to see. Actually it looks like the boat should have been able to handle the conditions. They weren't really that bad. From the comments it appears the boat started taking on water from the bow faster than the pumps could handle it. Maybe a thru hull fitting let go or they might have hit something just under the water.
