    My wife and I are planning to look at a 35 Ocean. Great lakes boat that will be used on the Detroit river/Lake Erie area. Over all length is a problem at our club. Anyone know the true length overall Transom to bow pulpit and then length of swim platform

    I don't have a problem taking the platform off for a few years if need be.

    Also, what is the general hull construction? Solid glass below the water line? What type of coring in the decks? Hull sides? I plan to take my moisture meter to check around all hull/deck penetrations. Stringer material?

    I have the same boat, I haven't had any issues with the exception of some blisters on the bottom, it was repaired by Ocean under warranty (they had some bad gelcoat). I attached the spec sheets from my owners manual. If you need anymore info from the manual, let me know.

    Survey went well and the boat made the 600 mile journey over the water without issue even after sitting for 6 years. The only problems I can find are the following:
    1) Original autopilot is no longer talking to the compass. Will update to match the C97 Ray's
    2) The ice maker's compressor is locked. Pretty sure it was never used.
    3) I may have a fresh water leak on the low pressure side. Fill up the tank and I get clean water in the forward bilge
    4) The Cruisair SMX system needs to have the Power Module rebuilt. Controls light up, relays click but it never hits the compressor and water pump. Have to use manual override
    5) Original tint is fading and starting to bubble.
