1986 Viking Hull Construction

    Does anyone know if 1986 Viking Hulls were built with "Cored" Hulls/below waterline and weather or not they are prone to deterioration?

    Solid hull below the waterline.
    However the transom is cored and prone to issues if it has a spare shaft opening at the platform level.

    i think they are balsa cored bottoms. i just read about a new viking that is using balsa coring in the bottom.
