Has anyone had to replumb the forward bilge pump ? When the boat was built , they left out one major factor . Access to the bilge where the present plumbing runs . There is bound to be someone out there that is feeling this pain haha. mainly looking for a plumbing schematic really and some ideas .

Can you access the thru-hull discharge side and attach a hose mender to the new hose, clamp it and tape the clamps and pull it through? There should be access either through the closet or something to get to it.

Ill look again , I would think there would be access as the hose runs from behind the settee to in front of the starboard fuel tank down in front thru the bulkhead . then I loose it under the cabin sole in the crews / guest cabin and find it again from under the starboard head . The hose turned to goo and of course has completely stopped up .

    Hi,

When trying to pull hose through holes not much bigger then the hose I have found that shoving a short length of plastic or metal pipe into the respective ends and attaching with CSK Self Tappers or Pop Rivets will give you the smallest diameter and not as risky as using glue and having it pull apart mid job when your feet are on the bulkhead and you are doing tug of war on your own against the masses.

Dish washing liquid also makes a good lube for the outside in tight holes through frames etc.

I will give that a try . Never thought of using pipe ! I have a snake on order to get it past the starboard fuel tank and thru the Bulkhead but will give that a try

    Thank you !
