We have a challenge......We would appreciate any help available. We are looking into a beautiful 1974 Roamer with stock 1271s. Our problem is, no one seems to know the transmissions that are in place....all plaques corroded or painted several times over. Any idea what came stock on the 1974 60' Roamers?...we would love to know prior to the sale to check the availability of service in our area. Thanks.

    twin disc it is

After an extensive search, found that these boats were equipped with either allison or twin disc gears(depending on the line and power). Ours turned out to be twin disc model A-514-C. Thanks.

My 1973 8V71's have Twin-Discs, You may want to give Jim Wick a call with the boat's serial number.
