We have moved ashore and would like to sell our 1968 Chris Craft Roamer. The boat is presently docked in Orange Beach, Alabama. The boat had a complete bottom job in the summer of 2006. We had the bottom soda blasted down to the bare metal before repainting with the appropriate protective coats. The engines are 8V71 naturals with low hours. The boat spent nearly all its life in fresh water in Canada, being pulled and stored on the hard for a majority of each year. Despite its age, the engines have less than 2000 original hours. The boat was built in Pompano, Fl, then purchased by a restaurant owner in Toronto. He owned the boat for many years until passing her on to a fellow Canadian. The boat was returned to the US recently and removed from Canadian registry this spring. The boat is documented and ready to cruise. We recently took her from Punta Gorda to Orange Beach in less than an week and experienced no mechanical problems. My wife has recently accepted employment in the Florida Keys. The employer is providing housing. Thus, we no longer have a need for this wonderful liveaboard. $100M will buy her. THIS IS NOT A PROJECT BOAT. However, the boat does need exterior painting. We have obtained several estimates and if the buyer wishes to have her repainted, approximately $35 should be budgeted to cover the expense. We already have an appointment in February to have the painting completed at that price. Hull had ultrasound in May, 2004 and found to be in excellent conditon. Call for more information.
