    Hello,

My husband and I are brand new owners of this craft- love the boat already. Very easy question: how do we turn the dining table into a double bed? We were able to remove the table completely and see groves on either side of the seat bases but not sure how this is working? Thanks for any help with this.

    Congratulations on the new boat.
I love old CC's & old boats in general.

You lay the tabletop onto the grooves or cleats that support it in the bed position.
The the seat backs are removed and laid onto the tabletop.
    Viola.
    A snug bed.
    Now go break it in.

On some of the ole Chris's had angled down metal tabs on one end of the table top. These would fit into a hull side metal slot just at bed height.
Small wood tabs (cleats) should be in place the capture the table top edges toward mid ship in the bench trim.
As C46 stated, the seat backs are used to fill in to make the bed.

If nothing still makes sense, send pics. We can make a manual if we have pictures.

Thank you both so much. We are going to be back with boat again this weekend and will try out and update. :)
