10th SWS Trophy 2010

X Maxi Yachts SWS Trophy - Porto Cervo 8-12- June 2010​

The 10th SWS Trophy will be held in Porto Cervo, from 8th to 12th of June 2010 and it will be hosted for the second time by the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta.

The shipyard have been enthusiastic supporters of the event since its conception and hosted the IX SWS Trophy at the inaugural regatta in 2008. Every year, the regatta fleet has boasted a number of impressive Southern Winds some of them helmed by their owners. Following the success of their involvement with the event in ’08 and ‘09, Southern Wind Shipyard is proud to partner with Boat International Media and YCCS as Silver Sponsor of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2010.

A fleet of eight to ten SWS’ is expected including SY "Thalima", SW 110, the new flagship which is due for launch on January 2010 and that will reach Porto Cervo straight from Cape Town just in time for the start of the first race! The fleet will be completed by a large number of the successful SW 100 model including SY "Farewell", SY "Farandwide", SY "Zefiro", SY "I-Sea", SY "Mrs Seven", and some of the 78 footers which will compete in the SWS class only.
