Project Solar arrives at OceAnco yards for finishing Dutch custom superyacht builder OceAnco just launched the Espen Oeino design superyacht Y710 and not even a week later a very large sailyacht build arrived on their premises. We can only imagine that this is Project "Solar" with design inside and out by Nuvolari and Lenard as well as Naval Architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects.
Clearly, this near 106-meter super-sailing yacht has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and is expected to have three free-standing dyna-rig masts, think "Maltese Falcon"-type rig. At 106-meters her beam is significant, try 15-meters, that's nearly 50-feet at her widest point. She is still expected to be within the 3,000 GT regulations. Guest accommodation is expected to be for just twelve in six suites. Arriving at OceAnco at this time, we expect that this yacht will officially launch in 2015.
