While processing a batch of images for a new review, I came across a cool shot. Thought I would share...
A really great shot. Does credit go to Tom, photog extraordinaire, on this one? YF did a phenomenal job before, during, and after the show. The various topics (Babes, Parade...) were just outstanding and very much appreciated. And this screen saver bonus is icing on the cake. Thanks for letting us see the boats and pics for those of us too busy to walk the show and I'm sure even more so for those unable to attend. You make the excitement real! YachtForum rocks! Uh, maybe better to say YachtForums planes! Judy
At first glance, I thought the same. It looks like a Tom shot! But this is Steve Cridland's work. Glad you liked the coverage of FLIBS, but the credit needs to go to Tom Serio & Chris Caswell this year. Up until this year I've been a one-man-band, so having their help made a huge difference. Gotta say, there's a reason why magazines have editors, photographers and sales people at the show... it takes a team. I think our's was the best!
Very nice photo! The sunset is nice, reminds me of looking at it here in Barbados on the West Coast. The refection on Casino Royale makes it appear as if it continued laterally. Good photography!
I have to agree with Judy.... the coverage was great. I haven't been able to make it to FLL for the show in a few years and the news headlines from Chris along with the pics from Tom is about as close as can be without taking a plane. Cheers to Carl, Chris, & Tom for all their hard work!
While processing a batch of images that will become our newest wallpapers, I came across this shot of a Nordlund with a 'Killer' escort...
Other than the 'paid' variety of escorts, those could arguably be the best escorts a skipper could have Great image!
since we're into sunsets and artistic shots, I took these last year running the Neuse on the way south at about 22kts.
This shot would have a sunset in it if the clouds weren't there. But still holds an artistic viewpoint. I call it "Shadow Clouds".
Nice catch Ron. Photo taken from inside a Shadow vessel. Here's the former Palladin Shadow (from back in 2007) as we were ready to land on the deck.
"Killer" Escorts Enjoyed the images but I trust the "killer" escort with the Norlund were not thought to actually be Orcas? They are the very playful and elegant Dall's porpoises that share the color scheme of an Orca but not nearly the size and are not whales. None-the-less a beautiful shot.......
YES, Carl being a young fellow still uses these terms that may sound confusing to the older crowd. “killer” actually means really cool or neat, kind of like your shoes are “sick” dude, meaning very nice or comfortable looking.
