I may be having trouble with my mail server. I sent out an e-mail last week about the Millennium review and I sent another broadcast e-mail today, inviting members to join us on the "show us your boat" thread. Did you guys receive these e-mails, because I'm not getting any bad address returns. (we have about 2 dozen). Just wondering.
If I was on the list, it didn´t get through. But I know my server trash everything suspected as spam-mail. I don´t know how it is elsewhere but in Sweden all "unwanted" e-mail advertising is now forbidden, so if the server can track it as a massdistributed mail it will be trashed or sent back.
Lars, Your user settings are set up NOT to receive administration e-mails, so you won't be receiving any database distributions. Thank you for letting me know, though. Anybody else? I only do broadcast e-mails about once a month or less, usually when we have new reviews. Appreciate some feedback from a few people... Carl
HI, Frank here, long time reader first time post. I always receive your E mails (and enjoy them). I read the Millennium review and was astounded. Got the E mail today, but didn't think anyone would want to see pictures of my puny boat.
Sorry for the delayed response--yes, I got the e-mail. Also posted a boating profile in response the CTDave's thread. Thanks to the folks who keep the website active.
Yep! I got the mail, too. But, since I don't have a boat, I could only show myself. Not sure if you guys really want that to happen...
LOL! No problem. Not all of us have a boat, but that's OK! Often, some of the most knowledgeable people are simply enthusiasts and sometimes... know quite a bit more than actual boat owners. The thread you are referring to: "show us you boat and tell us about you", is just a way for us to build a better sense of community. You don't need to own a boat! Personally, I find what people do for work, where they live and what they like to do... to be interesting. It's a lot like being at a marina. The boats are the common denominator that ties us together, but above all... boating is social activity where friendships are cultivated and connections are made. Thanks for letting me know you got the e-mails!
