I found this fascinating... http://www.risd.edu/dazzle/ Rhode Island School of Design was given the US Navy designs for dazzle camouflage by a camofleur who attended the school after World War II. They currently have over 400 designs and a number of photographs on display at their Fleet Library in Providence, RI through March 29th.
Wow! Very cool to have so many patterns together in one collection. My dream megayacht would definitely be wearing one of those. Would harbor masters object? wude Kelly
"what color do you thell them to look for?" I don't know, but if images made noise this one would sound like glass breaking.
Hilarious guys!! I assume that tub is a rendering of a concept? Not an actual boat? At least the dazzle theme works well, I wouldn't know where to aim first .... Kelly
Been there, done that. This is a real yacht and you can find out more from this thread started last year here on Yachtforums. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-yachting-discussion/10298-yacht-different-color.html
"The closeup of the luxury yacht looks more Roy Lichtenstein than Jeff Koons, but the artist said he was more influenced by WW1 camouflage patterns." http://www.artnewsblog.com/2008/09/dakis-joannous-jeff-koons-yacht.htm via http://dazzlecamouflage.wordpress.com/ That said, I agree with you; too much frenetic not enough kinetic.
