    Lets see some photo's of some special engine rooms. I must admit I have an ulteria motive, and that is to get some new ideas to jazz up an engine room and make it not only functional but pretty.

    I thought this might be the case, but if we leave out the name of the boat, maybe we could focus on specific upgrades or additions that have made the inferno below a little more hospitable?

    I like the way they have the railing not only around the engine but the exhaust stack, something to grab in a seaway without getting burned or worse.

    When I inherited this engineroom I nearly walked away, but 2 years later it is all working and clean but not that pretty. Something I want to work on.

    Looks like you have a few little projects going on yourself. I have a couple of dayworkers coming in next week to start polishing the engine bearers and other exposed aluminium. I am also changing the mounting arrangement for the chilled water circuit the existing pumps are hard mounted to a major structural member and I will be installing isolation mounts in an atempt to make it a lttle quieter. I have also been thinking about repainting the mains.

    That was actually a yard period I was doing towards the end of last year on a 156 Trinity. I really got her cleaned up afterwards but not really to a show room finish, but rather more to a good sea worthiness. She had a lot of aluminum rot that needed some serious attentention as she was pushing close to a decade in age.

    I see some Italian work in there but it has been had a bit of a refit in the U.S. I think. Is is a 1995 to 2000 Benetti

    The picture came out big because you uploaded a 5.4 meg image. It was 1600 x 1200. :eek:

    To prevent slow downloads and side scrolling, our limit is 640 pixels in width. I have adjusted the size accordingly.
