We're going to be vacationing in Florida soon and I'd like to spend some time enjoying some of the sights at the more prominent Yacht Clubs or Marinas (I'm sure there are thousands, but if there are some more popular ones, which ones would they be?). Could any of you please share your thoughts on which ones I need to visit? We are also considering a relocation to Florida, any insight on your favorite spots would be most appreciated... I look forward to researching them further. We're looking for the sandy white beaches, nice marina for future yacht and the most bang for our buck realestate wise! Any hidden treasures out there? I realize these questions are about as easy to answer as "What yacht should I buy?" very open to interpretation and personal taste, but when starting at ground zero, any local knowledge is better than none. Regards, Mike

A lot of people tend to overlook the Treasure Coast. From Vero Beach to Ft. Pierce, Stuart, Jupiter and northern PB county. There are dozens of marinas, close to shopping, and resturants. A lot of them are close to the white sand beaches yyou are looking for. Hutchinson Isl. Is like the unspoiled Florida of generations ago. There is a Harbourtown marina and Harbor something or other on s. Hutchinson isl. (It's a newer condo and marina on the isl. across from Chucks seafood.) The city marina had some serious damage from 04' season, but there is still dockage there also. I love the so. end beaches. There is nothing there. No T-shirt shop, taco stands or anything. I hope it stays that way, but nothing in Fl. seems to last forever. There are lots of places for sale in that area too. The Moorings in N. Hutchinson, and Johns Isl. Are wonderfull. Enjoy the trip.
