With a pair of 8v92ta engines. New purchase for me and I'm trying to see what's worked for folks. I need to replace both seacocks for the engines. Some of the sea cocks have "Buck Algonquin" labels. Most don't and are all in pretty bad condition. Hoses look original 1985 as well. Planning to get it hauled out and start on all the underwater fittings, plumbing etc and trying to source as much as I can in advanced.

My question is replacement. My seacock to strainer hose says 2 7/8" ID. Strainer looks to be 2" as does the intake on the back of the engines. Looks like my two choices are 2 1/2 "or 3" sea cocks. Any idea what's actually in the haul? I'd appreciate any insights.

Buck Algonquin is now Hydrasearch... and you can maybe also find useful info on their site... including strainers if yours are also BA. And then maybe compare to Groco as you gather info and decide how to proceed.
