This boat anchored next to us in Staniel. Looks like modern Trumpy. No idea what it is but refreshing compared to all the ugly UHVs out there.
Appears to be the Turkish-built 24-meter "Magnolia One" delivered in 2022... https://www.yachtforums.com/threads/news-24m-magnolia-1-now-delivered.36753/
I made a delivery on a boat like this (smaller / cheaper). I sat back at the couch and table with a remote. Finally, I found a bar stool in one of the side closets. I think the idea was to allow walk-thru while moored.
Still weird on a yacht, on big commercials ships the helmsman has to stand all the time, in my days it was 2 hours on, 2 hours look-out then 8 hours off. On a recreational vessel the owner, the skipper and the helmsman are usually the same guy, he (or she) deserves a comfy seat to park his (her) tush on-
The stool is usually comfy enough for working inland, but that couch/luv-seat makes it nice off shore. On some designs a nice fold-down or pull-out foot rest in that couch/luv-seat. I do remember a Super Nova 80 I used to skipper on, that had a big Stidd bolted down. Could never get around that darn seat from port/stb in the wheel house. Was easier to walk around out side-forward to move from port/stb,, just remember to un-lock the far door when going around or ensure a key is in your pocket.
