I am looking at a Cheoy Lee 68 Motor Yacht with Cat 3812E, 1400 hp and just wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge or information regarding this model boat. Cats have low hours. I currently have a 65 Pacific Mariner with Cat 3406E motors and have been very happy with the quality of this boat but I am looking for something with a little more room and nice crew quarters which this boat has.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
    Happy Holidays!

I'm sure you have read of me praising the 3406. Such an underrated engine.
My next luv is the 3412.
With proper maintenance, fresh air coolers AND records of such, you can do no wrong.

I'm in the middle when it comes to Cheoy Lee builds.
    Survey her very (VERY) well.

Thanks for your reply and from everything I have read about the 3412 this is what I expected. And concerning the Cheoy Lee the same. I am looking for a 3 stateroom with a nice crew or a 4 stateroom boat that is 70' or less and that is a more tradional yacht and this is much more difficult to find then I expected.

I don't know anything about but thought a 65 Pacific Mariner was a good boat. You looking for something more special?

It is a great boat but now with more grand children I really need another stateroom. This is part of the reason I am having so much difficulty finding the right boat. There are plenty in the 75' and up range but I am an owner operator and I don't want to go over 70', insurance being one of the reasons.
