I’m surprised I haven’t seen a thread on this builder yet. CDM is about to launch their largest yacht yet, the 42m K42 now known as Avdace. They tout that their builds are rock solid, very redundant, and high quality pocket explorers. Anyone with experience of these?

The owner of the the new 43-meter "Audace" build by Cantiere Delle Marche in 2019 has passed away at age 53 year.

Amazing shipyard! I was comparing it with the larger nordhavns but the build quality of cdm is just incredibly better! I had the chance to be on board both nordhavn and CDM, and personally think the quality is much more notorious on the CDM.

Welcome to the asylum, and thanks for an interesting first post.
Hopefully someone used to tar all Italian boats with the same brush might listen...
...even if it's undeniable that Dana Point boys are better than anyone at CdM in marketing and praising their Chinese stuff.

Btw, it's not a secret that the owner was Andrea Merloni, killed by a heart attack in his home just a few days ago.
He was one of four sons of the founder of a multinational large appliances company, and as the story goes he was the only one who didn't want to sell to Whirlpool some 6 or 7 years ago, but had to accept the decision of his brothers.

Goes to prove that it's never too early to start living aboard, as he used to do with the above battleship, I suppose...

Thanks! And you’re absolutely right about the Dana Point boys, they have amazing marketing skills! But I Even found the information misleading in some aspects.

This yard has launched the first yacht in their RJ155 model, christened simply as "RJ". She is 46.71-meters in length with exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski and interiors penned by Achille Salvagni. The name RJ might sound familiar because the owner had another vessel from the yard with the same name, a slightly smaller RJ130 model.

"RJ" seems as she has been delivered now. She is the first in CdM's RJ155 model and she is the replacement to the owners previous vessel RJ130 of the same name (but now called "Nuri"). RJ is set to make her world debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival.

"Aurelia" has been sold now. I believe she was the first Flexplorer from this yard* (* subject to correction). The 39-meter vessel was delivered in 2020.
