The first Outer Reef 780 Adventure unit has been completed and already embarked on a lengthy maiden voyage. The vessel left the shipyard in The Netherlands and sailed all the way to La Napoule, France - a journey that is over 2,300 nautical miles-.

Now that the first OR 780 Adventure is completed and made its journey to France, it will stay in La Napoule, France near the Outer Reef office and be available for private viewings. The vessel is available for sale and those private viewings can be arranged until the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The President and CEO, Jeff Druek, and Trevor De Faoite, Managing Director of Outer Reef Europe, joined the voyage in Gibraltar. The vessel continued through to Palma, Spain, and then onto La Napoule. Throughout the journey, they’ve rigorously tested every onboard system—from fuel consumption and sound levels to handling and seakeeping. The yacht reportedly exceeds the CFD predictions, with an eco-cruising fuel burn of just 18.6 liters/hour (5 USG/hour)—providing a range of over 5,000 nautical miles. This efficiency is thanks to her fast displacement hull, which outperforms traditional full-displacement designs.

The exterior of the new Outer Reef 780 Adventure has been envisaged by Bernd Weel Design. The Naval Architecture is by Lynx Yachts. If you haven't been following, there was a merger between Lynx Yachts and Outer Reef in 2024. The interior design though is the work of Julian Moore Design. Modern lines and edges hide a distance cruiser ready to take you on your next adventure.
